Level-2 Term-I, Final Exám-2024
Subject: Weaving Preparatory Process (Code: WPE 201)
Time: 3.0 Hrs. Full Marks: 72
(Use separate answer script for Part: A and Part: B)
(All parts of a question must be answered consecutively)
Part: A
(Answer any three questions)
1. (a) Define traverse ratio and angle of wind.
(b) How to calculate angle in a cone in simple driven winder.
(c) How is precision winding different from non-precision winding?
(d) Draw the types of yarn guides.
[2+5+3+2 = 12]
2. (a) Define warping. Classify warping & mention its objectives.
(b) State the functions of different components of ends in creel of direct warping.
(c) A 70 lb yarn package on a direct warping system is having 1.4 oz. width & contains 500 ends of 30 tex yarn. The empty and full beam diameters are 30 cm & 75 cm respectively. If the beam density is 0.4 gm/cm³, then calculate the mass of warp in Kg and its length.
[2+5+5 = 12]
3. (a) Specify four faults in warping process and how can you solve them?
(b) Explain the fault in winding package along with their possible remedy.
(c) A cheese having 120 mm height, 40 mm core dia and 15 cm maximum dia is being wound on a constant spindle speed precision winder on which the spindle rotates 4 times per double traverse. Find the angle of wind.
(d) Show magazine creel and swivel creel with their advantageous features.
