Part: A
(Answer any three questions)

1. ⁢(a) What is magnetic permeability? Describe the Hysteresis curve.

(b) State Lenz's law. Explain the law of conservation of energy by electromagnetic induction.

(c) A coil of 50 turns is taken from one position to another in 0.02s in between two magnetic poles due to this the change in magnetic flux linking with the coil is weber. Find the induced electromotive force in the coil.

2. (a) Define: (i) Electric dipole moment (ii) Electric field intensity.

(b) State and prove Gauss's law of electrostatics.

(c) State and explain Kirchhoff's law in electric circuit.

(d) The first two of 1 uF, 3 uF and 8 uF is connected in series and then in parallel to the third. Calculate the equivalent capacitance.
