(Answer any three questions)

1. ⁢(a) Define the following terms: i) Gauss’s law ii) Ohms law iii) Capacitor.

(b) Deduce Wheatstone’s bridge principle using kirchhoff’s law.

(c) Show that, .

2. (a) What is hall effect? Deduce the equation of Hall voltage.

(b) Derive an expression for torque on a current carrying loop.

(c) A conductor of length 0.5m is situated at an angle of 30° with a uniform magnetic field of 1.5T. If 10A current flows through the conductor then alculate the magnetic force acting on it.

3. (a) State and explain Faraday’s Law of electromagnetic induction?

(b) What is Hysteresis? State and Explain the Hysteresis curve of a magnetic material.

(c) State Lenze’s law. Explain how lenze’s indicates the direction of induction.
