(Answer any three questions)

1. ⁢(a) What are the basic structures of weft knitting? State the names of double jersey derivatives based on rib and interlock structures.

(b) Prepare suitable cam and needle arrangement for the following structures- i) Swiss double pique, ii) Punto-di-roma, iii) Double Lacoste.

(c) Mention the ways to ornament weft knit fabrics.

2. (a) State the advantages of electronic jacquard over mechanical jacquard.

(b) Illustrate the mechanism of electronic jacquard with sketch.

(c) State the rules to apply individual selection of stitches in weft knitting.
