1. ⁢(a) Draw a three-colour single jersey jacquard design with i) Straight accordion ii) Alternate accordion and iii) Selected accordion from the following pattern.

(b) State the rules to apply individual selection of stitches in weft knitting.

1. ⁢(a) State the objectives of loop transfer.

(b) Describe the procedure of forming float stitch.

(c) Calculate the production of fabric produced on three colour circular Jacquard knitting machine per 8 hour shift at 85% efficiency from the following particulars: Machine diameter = 30 inch, Course density = 10 courses/cm, Machine Gauge E 20, Wales density = 9 wales/cm, No of Feeders = 90, Fabric GSM = 175 gm/m², Machine Speed = 24 rpm, Structure: Three colour jacquard, Yarn count: 30 Ne.

2. (a) Compare between warp knitting and weft knitting.

(b) Discuss the methods of producing colour stitches in weft knitting.

(c) Describe the mechanism of electronic Jacquard with sketch.
