1. ⁢(a) What do you mean by off-line and online quality control?

(b) Write a short note on Quality Assurance, BSTI, ISO and AATCC.

(c) Explain the technique and standard of the measurement of fabric width.

(d) A piece of fabric has a dimension of 50 cm × 20 cm. When it is held flat, it measures 46 cm in length and 7 inch in width due to crimping. What is the percentage of crimp in the fabric?

2. (a) What is continuous principle?

(b) Describe the procedure of bending length measurement for stiffness testing using the heart loop method.

(c) Explain Shirley air permeability testing procedure.

(d) How can you improve the drapability of a fabric?
