1. Define the following :

(a) Texture           (b) Structure           (c) Weave plan

(d) Drafting plan     (e) Lifting plan        (f) Interlacing field.

2. (a) Explain the factors upon which the prominence of twill lines are dependent.

(b) Give graph paper example with drafting and lifting plan (any three)

(i) Warp faced twill (10×10)              (ii) Broken twill (12×12)

(iii) Diaper design (16×16)               (iv) Smallest diamond design

(c) Distinguish between Diamond and Diaper design.

(3+6+3 = 12)

3. (a) Show how can you build different types of crepe effects (with drafting and lifting plan)

(b) Differentiate between Bedford and Pique structure.
