(Answer any three questions)

1. ⁢(a) Define following weave plan, drafting plan and lifting plan.

(b) State the terms: contact field, interlacing field, free and open field.

(c) What is drafting? State the classification of the drafting system with the figure.

2. (a) Mention the features of twill weave.

(b) Show the graph paper example of the following design with drafting and lifting plan:

(i) Herringbone design for the repeat size of 16×8 considering broken draft;

(ii) Corkscrew weave of (z) twill considering move number 4;

(c) Differentiate between diaper and diamond design.
