(c)      The following transactions are obtained from the books of Mr. Rana for the month of january, 2015.

3.        (a)               What are the rules of determining Debit and Credit?

(b)     Show the effect on the accounting equation for the month of july, 2014 from the following transactions :

(i)     Karim started business with cash Tk. 150, 000.

(ii)    Purchased machinery Tk. 16000 for cash.

(iii)   Purchased merchandising inventory from Rahim on credit Tk. 4000.

(iv)   Purchased merchandising inventory by cash Tk. 25000

(v)    Merchandising sales Tk. 17000 of which cost price Tk. 15000

(vi)   Salary paid Tk. 3000.

4.        (a)               What is adjusting entry? State the difference between accrual basis and cash basis accounting.
